Trash Day in Briarcliff – Claymont

Tuesday, Across the Whole Neighborhood

Kansas City keeps an address table that tags each parcel with its census neighborhood and its trash day. KCMO's name for this area is "Briarcliff And Claymont," and its 1,164 parcels are all on Tuesday. That includes Claymont North, Briarcliff Hills, Indianola, Claymont, Green Meadows, Dundee Hills, Northcrest and Evans Hills.

One thing trips people up in 64116: not every address in the ZIP is on Kansas City's schedule. The city's table only covers Kansas City, MO, and part of 64116 is the separate City of North Kansas City. Briarcliff – Claymont is inside Kansas City, MO limits, so it is all on the city's Tuesday route. If you live near the edge and are not sure which city you are in, KCMO's Find My Pickup Day tool or the map above will settle it.

To the west, KCMO maps Briarcliff West as its own neighborhood. It is on Tuesday too: 400 parcels, all Tuesday.

Bin Bros follows the city by a day. Tuesday pickup means a Wednesday clean, while the cart is empty.

When Tuesday moves

KCMO skips collection on holidays and slides the rest of that week one day later. A Tuesday route only moves when the holiday falls on a Monday or Tuesday. In 2026 that meant four Monday holidays (MLK Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day and Labor Day), each pushing Briarcliff – Claymont to Wednesday. The holidays left this year come on a Wednesday, a Thursday and a Friday, so Tuesday pickup holds through December.

City rules worth knowing

Kansas City, MO provides weekly curbside trash and recycling for single-family homes and apartments with six units or fewer. From the city's trash page and recycling page:

• Recycling goes in the blue cart, loose: clean, dry plastic, cans, paper and cardboard, with no plastic bags. There is no limit, and it goes out on Tuesday with the trash.
• Flatten boxes, and keep any piece under four feet. Greasy pizza-box sections go in the trash.
• Keep the trash cart and recycling cart at least 3 feet apart, lids facing the street.
• Yard waste is not accepted in the trash cart; the city points to its Leaf & Brush program instead.
